Good thing I located my always elusive umbrella!
They say it rains all the time in the PNW and I’m sure that’s the case, but the 10 days I got to spend in Oregon were some of the nicest summer weather I’ve ever experienced. It was a rude awakening to come home to the DMV and it’s humid, rain-soaked days. (I know, we need it… my garden tells me so.)
This week’s must read:
ICYMI, Team Mountain West had their piece (featured in last Friday’s Week En Review) published again, this time in the Billings Gazette, the largest media outlet in Montana. If you didn’t read it the first time around, you can access it here.
This week’s must listen… the best-named podcast ever
Take a listen as Bob Inglis is a featured guest on Bourbon in the Backroom, a podcast that covers South Carolina politics, hosted by two former state Senators, Vincent Sheheen and Joel Lourie.
(They had me at ice clinking in the opening audio…)
Seriously, it sounds like they had a great time both talking about climate change and reminiscing on South Carolina politics. Though the hosts advise to pour a shot before you listen, true confessions, I did not consume any bourbon while listening. (And I’m pretty confident none was actually consumed during taping.)

This is your last chance to register for our webinar featuring a conversation with Ford Motor Company on how the automaker is transforming how it builds cars to meet the electric vehicle era.

Related… Spotted in Mexico…
While our trusty teammate and Outreach Director Wen Lee was in Mexico on a family vacation, she officially became the first on the republicEn.org team to lay eyes on the BYD electric vehicle, which gets between 300 and 600 miles per charge, depending on the model.
And a little more EV love from republicEn.org…
Check out Engagement Director Angela Larck’s latest toy, a home EV charger. To say the republicEn.org team is walking the talk is accurate! And doesn’t all of this make you want to join our webinar on Tuesday, June 30th, at 2pm? In case you didn’t take the opportunity above to register, now is your chance.
Leaving you with one last photo from my stay in Oregon. I was really blown away by the beauty of this state, especially the Painted Hills (pictured above) which in some places resembled Jupiter and in others, Mars.
Have a great weekend!
