Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT), nominated to serve as the next Department of Interior secretary, called himself an “unapologetic admirer of Teddy Roosevelt” at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee yesterday. In what may be a departure from President-elect Donald Trump, Zinke said “I do not believe [climate change] is a hoax” but questioned what the federal government “can do about it.”

In regard to human impact on climate change, Zinke said, “I think where there’s debate on it is what that influence is. What can we do about it?”

Zinke also said he supports an “all of the above” energy policy.
