Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum isn’t “concerned about the issue of climate change” but suggested those who are should look to increasing manufacturing in the U.S. as a means to reducing global emissions.

“The best way to do it is to increase manufacturing in this country,” Santorum said. “You’re going to be taking it from countries that pollute a lot more than the United States does. So if you actually want to reduce overall emissions, not just CO2 emissions, but overall emissions, you’d actually want to take jobs back from China, back from Mexico, back from Indonesia, bring them to this country where there are tougher environmental laws so we can produce these products more cleanly.”
