Newly (re)appointed republicEn outreach director Wen Lee presenting at a past climate conference.
Dear EcoRight Supporter,
After what we’re calling an “extended maternity leave,” we’re very excited that Wen Lee is back on the team! We all loved working with Wen before, and we’re excited about the drive that she brings as she returns.
Wen’s going to be:
-
-
-
- Recruiting and managing outreach liaisons in our target states of FL, GA, SC, NC, IN, IA, UT;
- getting events on the calendar;
- filling the calendar with adjacent events on talk radio, podcasts, and print appearances in travel localities;
- coordinating strategic outreach with our carbon-pricing allies; and
- supporting Angela on the tech/digital side, including our website and webinars.
-
-
When Alex Bozmoski and I were interviewing Wen back in 2017, she told us that she needed to work part-time because, if she were to take a 40-hour job, she’d work 80 hours. To the co-founders of republicEn.org, that sounded like a pretty good deal. And, wow, was it. . . and is it.
Wen’s back!
Now, then, let’s go win this thing.
Bob
Community Outreach & Engagement
Building Bridges at the Ohio River Valley Conference
In August, engagement director Angela Larck, represented republicEn at the Ohio River Valley Climate Change and Health Conference, where she presented a poster highlighting how republicEn engages conservatives on climate solutions. If you’ve never experienced a poster session, think of it like strolling through an art gallery—posters line the walls, participants linger over food and drinks, and presenters stand ready to discuss their work. Angela’s poster drew plenty of attention, and during the workshop “Rebuilding Trust in Science: An Open Discussion,” the facilitator singled her out with enthusiasm: “I saw your republicEn poster and checked out your website. You guys are doing some really cool stuff!” Moments like these remind us that republicEn’s work is catching eyes, sparking conversations, and inspiring curiosity in new audiences.
Discussing the Future of Energy and Climate Policy
Fresh off the presses, republicEn was joined by American Action Forum’s Shuting Pomerleau on September 9th to discuss the energy provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as well as the Trump administration’s plan to repeal the EPA’s endangerment finding. Watch the recording here.
