They are smiling and standing in front of a decorative curtain and painted wall.

Dear EcoRight Supporter,

January has me looking forward to February with excitement for how the web of relationships grows. A late January trip to the San Francisco Bay Area saw the spread of that web with long-standing friends extending our reach to new friends.

There was the meeting with Matt Willis, the physician who took Marin County from one of the lowest vaccination rates to one of the highest, and whose experience with the vaccine-hesitant might help us with the climate-hesitant. That meeting was set up by Larry Brilliant, a dear and long-standing friend who I got to see at the airport for the briefest but richest of moments.

There was the opportunity to speak to the YPO Gold (Young Presidents’ Organization) gathering organized by Max and Ann Scheder-Bieschin. That happened only because of our wonderful, long-standing friend, Bill Barron of Salt Lake City.

There was the meeting with Liam St. Louis of the Navigation Fund that happened only because of Alex Bozmoski, our co-founder at republicEn.org. In that case, the web grew immediately with Liam introducing me to Craig Segall. Craig is working with experts in geoengineering who have much to teach us.

In February, I’ll be speaking to a conference of Columbia, South Carolina’s St. John Episcopal Church. You guessed it: the rector of our church introduced me to the rector of that church. The St. John conference will be a bit like the conference arranged by the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island back in the fall. I plan to echo what I said in the fall—that there is an opportunity for the Church to illuminate a path away from cruelty and polarization to solutions that flow from loving God and loving people.

Ah, those people—the people of the web of our relationships. Thank you for being part of that web!

Angela Larck of our team has submitted a paper for publication that analyses that web as a rhizome. It’s a neat way to think about the relationship web. It spreads underground imperceptibly and then surfaces–and blooms.

Onward,

Bob

Community Outreach & Engagement

Warm feet. Meaningful Steps.

In late December, we sent EcoRight VIP packages to donors, partners, and deeply engaged community members as a small token of gratitude. Inside were republicEn merino wool socks — with carbon tax advocate” stitched right onto the toes — along with a bit of tea-time warmth. Those socks are a reminder that progress is made step by step, often quietly, by people willing to lead with curiosity, courage, and care. If you’d like a pair of EcoRight socks and didn’t receive one, let us know — we’d be happy to send some warmth (and a little policy honesty) your way.

Spilling the Tea, Conservative-Style

Thanks to your year-end support, we recently hosted a special live webinar, Spilling the Tea on Climate Strategy, featuring Bob Inglis in conversation with Chelsea Henderson. The event was born directly from our fundraising challenge and brought together members from across the country for a candid, unscripted discussion about conservative climate leadership, policy momentum heading into 2026, and how optimism is sustained when the work gets hard. The thoughtful questions, honest dialogue, and strong turnout were a powerful reminder that your support makes these conversations—and this community—possible.

Watch the recording below.

Podcast

We launched the 12th season of the podcast on February 3rd and are looking forward to more robust conversations with our EcoRight allies and community. We revamped some of the show’s audio; Bob now provides our introduction voice, and Wen and Angela provide “bumpers” between segments, so it is truly a team effort now.
