At a private campaign event in Bedford, New Hampshire, presumed presidential nominee and former Florida governor Jeb Bush told supporters it was intellectually “arrogant” to presume the science of manmade climate change is settled (CNN.com).

“Look, first of all, the climate is changing,” Bush said. “I don’t think the science is clear what percentage is man-made and what percentage is natural. It’s convoluted. And for the people to say the science is decided on, this is just really arrogant, to be honest with you.” Bush also said that while he believes the federal government should not ignore the threat of climate change, addressing it should not be the “highest priority.” Bush’s remarks came on the same day President Obama called climate change a threat to global security at a U.S. Coast Guard Academy convocation speech.
