New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, appearing at an event in New Hampshire this week, responded to an accusation that he’d said in a recent town hall meeting that climate change was caused by breathing. Christie called the statement “ridiculous.”

“Climate change is real,” he said. “It changes all the time.” Christie went on to insist that the solution not be one that “taxes the American people.”

“What have we done in New Jersey? Nothing that has been anti-business.” The New Jersey governor pointed to the thriving solar industry in his state as an example of how to address the issue.
