Ohio Gov. John Kasich continues to spend time in New Hampshire, where the first-in-the-nation primary will be held in February 2016. At a town hall event held at New England College last week, Kasich linked his belief in climate change to his faith.

“We were created to be stewards of God’s creation, and God’s creation is the environment,” Kasich said. “And we have to take care of it. We can’t worship it. If we worship it, that’s called pantheism and that is a sin. We don’t worship other things. But we should be good stewards.”

In 2012, Kasich said he believes climate change is real and poses a problem.
