Sen. Marco Rubio was again asked to detail his climate action plan, this time by a fellow Floridian who traveled to New Hampshire with the hopes of having a discussion about how to address the climate, in particular, impending sea level rise.

“I actually support mitigation,” Rubio said about rising sea levels. “I think there are things we need to do to mitigate the impact that this is having.”

Rubio continued by reiterating, “We cannot pass policies that do nothing for the environment, but will destroy the economy.”

“I don’t think these two things have to be in conflict,” he added. “I think you can be pro-economy and pro-environment, but you have to do it in a way that is responsible for both.”
