On Friday, Florida Senator Marco Rubio unveiled his framework for the direction he’d take U.S. energy policy if elected president.

Rubio would immediately approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, expand offshore drilling, lift restrictions on natural gas exports and rollback regulations such as the Clean Power Plan, which he called “one of the most expensive and costly regulations ever created.”

Rubio criticized candidates “who [believe] energy policy is more about trying to change the weather than empowering the people.” Rubio’s plan does not detail his strategy on climate change.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush released a similar plan last month.
