Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn, surrogate to Donald Trump, took to the airwaves to discuss the GOP presidential candidate’s position on climate change. When asked if she thinks climate change is a hoax, Blackburn replied “I do not believe in climate change. I think the Earth is in a cooling trend. It is not in a warming trend… It has cooled for about the past 10 years.”
When it was pointed out that nine of the ten hottest years on record have occurred in the last decade, Blackburn maintained that “we have also seen the past 10 years a little bit of a cooling.”
Blackburn serves as Vice Chairman to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
