Addressing onlookers at his former high school in Livingston, New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie made official his campaign to seek the Republican nomination for the presidency. While he did not specifically address climate change in his speech, in April, Christie said he believes “global warming is real” and “human activity contributes to it” but is skeptical of the effectiveness of cap and trade as a carbon reduction mechanism.
