Climate Week En Review: Looking ahead at 2026
We’re back from a glorious two-week break where personally, I only consumed the four food groups of beef, cheese, salt, and wine. It was refreshing to relax and spend time with family, though on a sad note, we had to bid farewell to our cat Fang (frequently pictured in this newsletter) but at least she was with her whole family when her health started to turn.
Now on to 2026…
Climate Week En Review: Adieu, 2025
How many of you are about to personally engage in the “slams laptop until January 5th” meme? [Spoiler: I will be able to tell at least in part from the number of out-of-office auto replies I get this afternoon how many of you are done for the year.]
The EcoRight Speaks reflects back on season 11
Season 11 is official a wrap!
And so here we are with our traditional, season-end wrap up, featuring clips from our favorite episodes.
Climate Week En Review: Skating into the holiday season
Are you in the holiday spirit yet?
I’m making a list (of cookies to bake) and checking it twice (for ingredients I need) plus I put up the tree and wrapped an empty (open) box for my cat Fang to hang out in under the tree (her favorite spot). The weather is appropriately cold. So turn up the holiday music, put on the ugly sweater, and let’s revel.

Climate Week En Review: Back from paradise
I’m back from the Galapagos… but I’m having a hard time being happy about it. Re-entry into the “real world” has me reeling, literally. The first few nights home, I felt like I was still on the sea, swaying with the waves. Cars. People. Technology. PHONES. I didn’t realize how much stimulation there is in our daily lives until I was without it for a week. This adventure really touched me in so many ways that I’m still processing and will continue to process.
Climate Week En Review: Happy Early Thanksgiving
We will keep this short as we know chaotic airport lines, pumpkin pies, and turkey prep await you. And I’m swimming with sea turtles! (Not really, but maybe seeing some while snorkeling…)
Climate Week En Review: Almost On Island Time
Vacation of a lifetime, here I come… About a year ago, one of my dear friends put a bold idea on the table: let’s go to the Galapagos Islands in November 2025. My response: a squeal. We depart for this bucket list trip next week. Fear not—there will be a short WER before I go. And as is tradition, this newsletter will take the week of Thanksgiving off to free up your inboxes for Black Friday deals. I promise a full report upon my return.
The EcoRight Speaks hears from Hattie Hobart how nature is, indeed, bipartisan
Hattie Hobart loves to hike… On the “our team” tab on the Nature is Nonpartisan website, each employee is identified by photo, job title, and political ideology, with the latter crossed out and their favorite outdoor activity penciled in. I think this is a clever way to make their point: nature knows no political party.
