December! How I missed you. In the DMV the best month of the year was greeted by some very welcome (by me) cooler temperatures more akin to what I was used to in my New England days. Just missing the snow. Come on, winter! You can do it!

Our hearts are aching for those caught in the devastation of Hurricane Helene, which impacted members of our own team. While they, their families, and their homes are fine, being amid so much destruction takes a toll. Bob Inglis and Price Atkinson, we are thinking of you and I know our entire EcoRight community is wishing all those in the storm’s path a speedy rebuild.

Here comes the rain again… looks like a potentially soggy weekend for me, but I’m not sad about it. My garden has been a little crunchy with our lack of rain, so I will take it!

TGIF! If you’re looking at the graphic above and thinking how pretty it is, it’s the clover of Angela Larck’s “lawn” and it’s much friendlier for the bees than traditional grass. That theme connects to our podcast episode of the week, which you must listen to if you haven’t already! And if you have any questions about converting your lawn to habitat, you have friends on this team to give their advice!

Hello and truly happy Friday! If you’re the type who opens emails as you receive them, I am just meeting up with my son, who is graduating from college on Saturday! So excuse me while I have a proud momma moment! (Except poor guy doesn’t have a job; the one he was offered fell through and he’s in a scramble. If you know anyone looking to hire an excellent researcher/writer—or any sort of entry level position with a chance to learn on the job—let’s talk!)

Friday, April 26, aka the day I get to meet Angela Larck in person! We are quite a decentralized organization with team members in the DC metro area, Ohio, and South Carolina. Angela has been our engagement director for more than two years, but we have not yet met in person. That changes today! She’s going to be in Baltimore, about 45 minutes from my house. As you’re reading this, we are probably chatting away! Stay tuned for photographic evidence in next week’s newsletter!

TGIF! Cherry blossoms are peaking, the NCAA tournament is in full swing, and spring is here. As are my allergies. Is it December yet?

Hello and TGIF! By the way, remember that 497-day January we just had? Turns out it was the hottest January on record. Also, hot? This weekend’s Super Bowl. Speaking of, what are your favorite football snacks? I’m entertaining and need fresh ideas!
